Aquaduct Team Bios

John Lai was born in Hong Kong, grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and now lives in San Bruno, California. He has earned a Bachelors of Science in Industrial Design at San Jose State University is currently a Senior Designer at IDEO. He has worked on products ranging from ski goggles, laptop computers, mobile phones to medical devices. He has won numerous design awards and now focuses on strategy and design in the healthcare industry.

David C. Janssens recently joined the team to help them strategically research and identify appropriate opportunity areas for the Aquaduct concept. At IDEO, he plays a similar role working as a strategic consultant for government and large corporate clients. David focuses particularly on designing and implementing new business ventures and visions for clients. He holds a BSME from the University of Michigan and a BA of Physics from Kalamazoo College.

Adam Mack is originally from Bethlehem, Pennsylvania where he studied engineering at Lehigh University. He now lives in Menlo Park, California and works as a mechanical engineer at IDEO. He has worked on products ranging from consumer electronics to micro-irrigation pumps for the developing world. He has been with the firm for the last two years

Brian Mason grew up in Simsbury, Connecticut and went on to earn a BE and MS degree in engineering from Dartmouth College. His experience ranges from assistant director at a summer camp to a product engineer in the outdoor retail industry. For the past three years he has worked at IDEO as a mechanical engineer focusing on health products.

Eleanor Morgan is a product designer at IDEO, contributing through human factors and engineering work. She grew up in Chevy Chase, Maryland and studied at Stanford where she earned a BS in Product Design and an MS in Mechanical Engineering.

Paul Silberschatz was born and raised in San Francisco, CA and holds a BSE in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania. He has worked across a wide range of industries from designing race cars to inner city educational curriculums, and most recently has spent the last four years as a mechanical engineer at IDEO in Palo Alto, CA.
